Choosing your safety / DE razor

1. The head

Safety razors come with various heads. We find flat safety bars, open combs and slant heads.

Flat heads are meant for everyday use.

Open comb heads should be used by people who do not shave everyday.

Slant heads are great shavers but difficult to master. Inapropriate pressure and / or angle may lead to difficulties. 

2. The handle

There are mostly 2 types of handles on the market today: short and long handles.

Short handles makes the razor feel more like an extension of the hand.  

Some people pretend long handles are for heavy brears, but not only; People having big hands enjoy them too!
Another fact, considered by pro's, is the many more angles that can be achieved with a long handle. 

3. The weight

Razors currently on the market are quite different in terms of weight. You can get a heavy short handle razor or a light long handled razor.

Razor weight and balance, regardless of handle length is a key factor.
