The ‘G’ in the name stands for Grelot and is meant as an ‘homage’ to the well renown earlier brand of straight razor series.
This razor features a very thick C135 steel blade. It's not a wedge, it's not a 1/4 grind, but rather a heavy grind in between. The blade is pretty heavy but well balanced and will satisfy those with large hands and heavy beards.
The blade comes mirror polished on both sides and features a wonderful deeply engraved spine reminding the old razors engravings. It's a large 7/8, pretty close to an 8/8 blade with a hooked nose.
The scales are pretty large as well and made out of Maple wood.
The razor comes with its special varnished maple wood box.
A brass inset reproduces the razor's serial number on the box.
Here are the numbers we got:
243 251 262 269
244 255 264 272
246 258 266 274
If you need a particular one, please advise us in the comment field at the end of your order.
