Because of the popularity of the extra thick, shoulderless "Le Grelot" blanks, decision was taken at Thiers-Issard to recreate that Grelot razor in a new forging using a modern Carbonsong 135 steel, but not forgetting the techniques and grind that made the original so popular.

The blade comes mirror polished on both sides and some sculpturing along the spine.
The scales are made out of historic - varnish finished - Cuban Mahogony. A special crown and fleur-de-lys design has been laser engraved onto the side.
