This natural sharpening stone produces microscopic grains.
The movement of the edge of a razor on the wet stone releases garnets of surface. Those with water form a fine abrasive paste that they confer on the edge a brilliant aspect (free from any defect).
Moreover, the smoothness as well as the speed of execution of sharpening are considerable assets.
It is for these reasons that these stones are so requested.
It is also the only natural stone able to sharpen all steels, even stainless.
